Honoring Elders at Native American Heritage Month Event

Our 1st Annual KTHC Native American Heritage Month – Honoring Elders event will be on Friday, November 15th, from 10 am – 12 pm at the Kickapoo Multi-purpose Building. We want to take a moment to honor Native American Elders, show our love and gratitude. We have invited Meeker and McLoud Schools Tribal Education Students to help us and greet, distribute blankets, and serve light snacks! Special guests include the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum with a live art demonstration. KTHC’s TOR Grant will be sharing health information, and those 18 years or older who participate in a survey may receive a blanket incentive. This event is a Kickapoo Tribal Health Center Community Outreach Activity and is free to the public.

We will also have a health presentation by Darla Romine, KTHC TOR Grant Coordinator, at our Kickapoo Nutrition Building on this day at 9 am during breakfast. Those who are 18 years or older who complete a survey may receive a ticket for a Blanket. You may also complete your survey at the event at 10 am where the blankets will be distributed.
