On Friday, September 28th, our State Youth Treatment Grant hosted Kickapoo Night of Culture, and we had 258 participants. The main idea of this event was ‘Creating to Cope’, as the community was able to experience storytelling, social dances, traditional foods, as well as beautiful artwork. As a substance abuse grant, we believe in the importance of sober activities, community support, and protecting the future by providing help through treatment. We would like to thank everyone, who participated in the event, whether as an attendant or volunteer.
The State Youth Treatment Grant is for any CDIB Card holder, ages 12-25, who have substance use or are at risk for substance use. We provide individual, group, and family therapy along with our Intensive Outpatient Programming. We will be offering art classes, anger management, therapeutic gardening, transportation, case management, life skills, and so much more.
