We want to encourage you to participate and learn meaningful ways to honor Native American Heritage Month. Beginning Sunday, November 15th at 7 pm, we are airing a Rock Your Mocs promotional video on FACEBOOK and our Website with a special message from KTHC Staff member, Stella Pepiakitah, edited by Kevin Tushka, HPDP Programs and Fitness Specialist. This video highlights a movement that has been inspirational to some of our employees here at KTHC and has helped them be more intentional with cultural preservation and exercise.
Have fun with us on Friday, November 20th, KTHC is celebrating Rock Your Mocs Day! You can participate by posting a picture of you wearing your moccasins to one of the social media with #RockYourMocs and #KTHC or joining us on the lovely Kickapoo Trails this day.
To close the week and with special help from our friends at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, meet us curbside at the clinic and pick up a “Pinch Pot” Activity Kit. The free clay kits will be available curbside only (while supplies last) on Friday, November 20th, from 8:30 – 12 pm and from 1 pm to 2 pm. We will be providing more information soon!
We hope to convey thru our video and activities how culture can motivate us to find depth and togetherness through healthy habits.
Stay Strong – Stay Health ~ Your Friends and Staff at KTHC!
Special Thanks to our collaborators and friends, KTHC HPDP and National Cowboy Hall of Fame and Western Heritage Museum.
