Shawnee, OK – On Friday, March 6th, tribal leaders gathered at Gordon Cooper Technology Center in front of 124 attendees to discuss economic and community development. Leaders included Absentee Shawnee Tribe Governor, John Johnson; Citizen Potawatomi Nation Chairman, John “Rocky” Barrett; Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Chairman, David Pacheco, Jr.; Sac & Fox Principal Chief, Justin Wood.
David Pacheco, Jr. presented a brief history of the Kickapoo Tribe, developments of the Casino expansion and new event center, building additions at the health center, new health programs, and the ongoing mental health outreach in schools.
