West Nile Virus is spread through the bite of an infected mosquito. Most people don’t feel sick, but some—especially those over 60 or with certain health conditions—can develop serious symptoms like fever, fatigue, or even neurological issues.
Prevention is key:
Use EPA-registered insect repellent
Wear long sleeves and pants outdoors
Dump standing water (think flowerpots, buckets, birdbaths)
Stay indoors at dawn and dusk
Keep window screens in good repair
There’s no vaccine for WNV—let’s protect ourselves and our neighbors by stopping mosquito bites before they happen!
