KTHC has been awarded the Tribal Opiate Response (TOR) Grant. This grant is for people who have experienced problems with pain medications and /or other opiate-type drugs. It will have one staff member who serves as a provider/coordinator who will provide treatment for those with substance abuse. Individuals who participate in this grant will be able to attend a Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinic, where medications such as Suboxone and Subutex will be prescribed to minimize withdrawal symptoms and to assist people in their recovery process.
